What to see in Tivoli
There are several ancient villas in Tivoli, the doors of which are open to everyone. One of the most popular attractions of Tivoli is the sophisticated and graceful Villa D’Este, which was built in the mid-16th century and designed in an antique style. There are gardens around the villa, which are considered to be one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. Inside the villa, beautiful interiors filled with paintings and frescoes that have been preserved here. In the park area, one cannot help but notice the unique system of fountains and numerous landscape designs.

Villa Adriana is another “pearl” of Tivoli. Built at the beginning of the first millennium, the villa, of course, could not preserve all its authentic features, and today it is more of an archaeological site than an architectural one. However, Villa Adriana is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List as a unique historical monument.

Villa Gregoriana is a park complex famous for its waterfall, grottoes and romantic bridge connecting the two banks of the river. This amazing place is a great option for a walk on a hot day, where you can hide in the shade of the trees or cool off by the waterfall. The local landscape park was created in the 19th century according to the design of Pope Gregory the Sixteenth.
- The park is open to the public every day, except Mondays, from 10 am to 6:30 pm (the park is closed in January-February; in November, December and March it is open until 4 pm);
- The entrance fee is from 10 euros for an adult and from 3 euros for a child.
The famous thermal complex Terme Albule is also open in Tivoli for everyone who wants to relax in the mineral springs. The healing waters here are sulfurous. The temperature of the mineral springs is maintained at +23 degrees. In the summer, the complex has a huge open-air swimming pool with thermal waters. Swimming areas for children include small waterfalls and other activities.
- The cost of a one-day visit is from 14 euros (at weekends the cost is from 17 euros) per person.
- The thermal complex is open daily from 09.30 am to 5 pm, but it is closed on Tuesday. On Saturday it is open until 6 pm.
There is also an indoor area or spa center on the territory of the thermal complex.
